Flinders Discovery Centre celebrates grand re-opening

The Flinders Discovery Centre in Hughenden is back and better than ever before.

The Centre was delighted to recently host its grand reopening, with Chris Whiting MP, Chair of the State Development and Regional Industries Committee, along with our amazing community members, surrounding Councils, and other stakeholders joining us for this momentous occasion.

The renewed and refreshed Centre allows visitors even more room to explore and discover, along with new video and audio elements which elevate the visitor experience.

For our little explorers, there is a brand-new fossil dig area where children can dress up as fossil hunters and uncover hidden treasures, as well as engaging storytelling sessions from our incredible locals through captivating video and audio.

Our displays now beautifully showcase the essence of the Flinders Shire, taking you on a mesmerising journey through our rich history.
