The Flinders Shire Council's Sport and Recreation Officer is funded by the State Government's Department of Communities in partnership with Flinders Shire Council under the Local Jobs Plan funding program.
 
The Sport and Recreation Officers role is to:·        
  • Provide advice on governance for a cluster of organisations and source appropriate support avenues·        
  • Develop networks and support collaborative approaches to sport and recreation in local communities·        
  • Support organisations with grant-seeking, sponsorship, fundraising and corporate partnerships·        
  • Advise on effective marketing strategies and promotional activities for sport and recreation
