Joining the Library

The Flinders Shire Library is situated on the corner of Brodie and Gray Streets and offers a wide range of physical books - Audio Books, CDs and DVD's that are available to borrow.

Once you are a library member and receive your pin this opens up a world of free apps that allow Free access to audio books, ebooks and free magazines, through Borrow Box or Libby Overdrive and music through Freegal.

The State Library has an online Database that allows you to order books that can be collected from your local Library. The Library has three exchanges a year from the Public State Library in Brisbane which helps keep the collection up to date and relevant.

Complete a Membership form and return to the Library via email or in-person to receive your membership card number and a PIN.

Children's Programs

School Holiday Program

Programs run each school holiday period on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Keep your eyes on the Library Facebook page prior to each holiday for an updated program.

First 5 Forever - Playgroup

Weekly each Wednesday from 9.30am to 10.30am.

First 5 Forever is a statewide program providing strong early literacy foundations for all Queensland children aged 0-5 years. Visit your local library for fun, free, family-friendly activities and resources to help you make the most of your child’s first 5 years. They are great places to meet other families, play, borrow books or toys, and share stories, songs, and nursery rhymes.

First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government and the State Library of Queensland.
