Rates Payments

For your convenience there are a number of ways to pay your rates.

  • In person payment can be made at Council Office, 34 Gray Street, Hughenden, between 8:30am and 5:00pm.

  • Cheques to be made payable to Flinders Shire Council, PO Box 274, HUGHENDEN QLD 4821.

    • Please attach the remittance slip at the bottom of the front page of this Notice.
    • Direct Deposit payment: BSB: 084-714  A/C: 50-876-5207
    • Payment Reference: Assessment number at top right corner of Rate Notice (e.g.10003929)
    • Proof of payment to be forwarded to rates@flinders.qld.gov.au or faxed to 07 4741 1741
  • BPoint Internet payment: https://www.bpoint.com.au/payments/flinders

    • This service accepts Visa and Mastercard
    • Payment Reference: Assessment number at top right corner of Rate Notice (e.g.10003929)
    • Record your receipt number as proof of payment
    • Transaction limits apply, minimum $10.00 - Maximum $10,000.00
  • Telephone payment by credit card 1300 276 468 and follow the prompts (cost of a local call):

    • Record your receipt number as proof of payment

  • You can register to receive, pay and store your rates notices electronically using BPAY. This makes the process much more efficient for residents while reducing the impact on the environment by using less paper.

    To register follow the three simple steps below. Once the registration is approved your next rates notice will automatically appear in your online banking account. You can also choose to receive notifications when your bill arrives via email, SMS or internet banking.

    How To Register

    1. Log into your online banking account
    2. Click on the BPAY View or View Bills section
    3. Register to receive your rates notice by entering:
      1. the BPAY Biller Code: 
      2. your BPAY View registration number located next to the BPAY View logo on the front of the notice
      3. enter the name exactly as it appears in the first line from the address block on your rates notice

     

  • To provide assistance to pensioners in the Flinders Shire both Council and State subsidies may be available to eligible ratepayers for their principal place of residence.

    If you are a ratepayer in the Shire and currently hold a Queensland Pensioner Concession Card or Queensland Repatriation Health Card you may apply to Council for a Rate Concession. Application forms are available on request.

    If you currently receive a subsidy you do not have to re-apply.

    For new applications to be considered in the 2016/2017 rating year completed applications must be received by Council prior to 30 June 2016.
