Statutory Policies
This section is to ensure Council meets the requirements of the Local Government Regulation 2012 (Qld) s 199:
- This section applies to the following documents of a local government—
- The local government must allow the public—
- to inspect the documents—
- at the local government's public office; and
- on the local government's website; and
- to purchase copies of the documents from the local government.
- to inspect the documents—
- The price for purchasing a copy of a document must be no more than the cost to the local government of making the copy available for purchase.
Councillor Expenses Reimbursement Policy
This section of the website is to ensure Council meets the requirements of the Local Government Regulation 2012 (Qld) s 251:
- As soon as practicable after a local government adopts or amends its expenses reimbursement policy, the local government must—
- ensure a copy of the policy may be inspected and purchased by the public at the local government’s public office; and
- publish the policy on the local government’s website.
- The price for purchasing a copy of the policy must be no more than the cost to the local government of making the copy available for purchase.
Councillor Expense Reimbursement and Provision of Facilities Policy
Councillor’s Discretionary Fund
In accordance with Local Government Regulation 2012 (Qld) s 189, the Local Government must ensure a notice about discretionary funds for Councillors within 20 business days if adopting the budget.
- Flinders Shire does not have discretionary funds and therefore there is no report for 2022-2023 for the purpose of allocation as community grants.
