Council meetings are held monthly from January to December based on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
Meetings generally:
- The meeting commences at 9.00 am on Wednesday and closes when all business is complete (Subject to change).
- All correspondence for the council to consider at the monthly meeting should arrive at the council office one week before the meeting so that it can be included in the agenda.

COUNCIL MEETING – CHANGE OF DATE NOTICE
In accordance with the Local Government Regulation 2012 – Section 254B – Local Government Meetings and Committees; Council advises that there has been an alteration to the date of the following Ordinary Meetings of Council:
- January 2025 meeting will be held on Tuesday 28 January 2025 commencing at 9:00am, instead of 29 January 2025 as previously advised. Meetings are held in the McNamara Boardroom, 34 Gray Street Hughenden, Queensland 4821. Meetings are open to the general public.
- April 2025 meeting will be held on Wednesday 30 April 2025 commencing at 9:00am, instead of 23 April 2025 as previously advised. Meetings are held in the McNamara Boardroom, 34 Gray Street, Hughenden, Queensland 4821. Meetings are open to the genera public.
All correspondence, which may be considered at these Council Meetings will need to be received at the Shire Office by 5.00 pm on the last working day of the month preceding the Council Meeting, for inclusion in the Agenda.
